As of October 1, portions of OFM are now part of the new Washington Department of Enterprise Services

Beginning October 1, several functions of OFM were moved to the new Washington Department of Enterprise Services (DES). This includes Information Services, Risk Management, Contracts and Small Agency Client Services.

OFM will continue to oversee budget, policy, forecasting and labor relations, and add human resource policy and state IT policy, planning and oversight to its portfolio. This change is part of the consolidation of all or portions of five central-service agencies: the departments of General Administration, Printing, Information Services, Personnel and OFM.
