Report from independent review of child welfare case available
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Sept. 22, 2009
This report was commissioned as an independent review of a child welfare case in which permanency for a child in foster care was not achieved within the time frames called for by the federal Adoption and Safe Families Act. The purpose of the review was to assess whether there were specific problems with the way this case was handled and/or whether there are larger issues endemic to our state’s child welfare system that should be addressed. For purposes of public release to persons not party to the child welfare dependency case, confidential client information has been redacted.
