Agency Interfaces from AFRS Project

Our goal is to have all agencies that interface from AFRS using the same server with a standard set of data elements prior to the ERP implementation. This will make converting the agency interfaces much easier when the new system is configured. We are currently working on Phase 1 of this project.

This image shows the Agency Interfaces from AFRS Project Timeline with phase 1 in fiscal year 2019, phase 2 in fiscal year 2020, and phase 3 in fiscal year 2021.

What have we done?

  • Setup a new AFRS Outbound Interface SGN server for the use of all agencies within the SGN to use for getting AFRS tables in place of the mainframe, Enterprise Reporting or Web Intelligence.

  • Setup an Active Directory (AD) group, which agencies will be able to add their own AD groups to for access to the new AFRS Outbound Interface SGN server.

  • Setup the near real-time update of the AFRS Statewide Titles on the new AFRS Outbound Interface SGN server.

  • Setup pilot agencies access to new AFRS Outbound Interface SGN server. They are actively working on setting up interfaces and decommissioning old ones.

  • Documentation has been posted on the WaTech AFRS website.  Look for AFRS Outbound Interface Server at this link /it-systems/agency-financial-reporting-system-afrs/afrs-outbound-interface-server

What are we working on now?

  • Contacting other agencies to start using the new AFRS Outbound Interface SGN server for outbound interfaces from AFRS to their agency and to decommission old ones.

What are the next steps?

If you are interested and ready to start using the new AFRS Outbound Interface SGN server for your agency, please follow the instructions found in /it-systems/agency-financial-reporting-system-afrs/afrs-documentation.
