Water Pollution Control State Match

40000013

Additional funding is provided for the 20 percent state match required to receive an additional $970,000 in the federal capitalization grant provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in federal fiscal year 2018. Funding is allocated to states through a formula established in the Clean Water Act. The calculation for federal fiscal year 2018 resulted in Washington receiving $970,000 more in federal funding than originally anticipated. The additional $194,000 state match must be deposited into the Water Pollution Control Revolving Account according to federal and state regulations.
