IT classification & compensation restructure
The state is implementing a new information technology (IT) professional/technical classification and compensation structure. This means that all state agency and higher education classified IT positions, and some Washington Management Service IT positions, will be evaluated for allocation into the new structure. The new structure is planned to go into effect in July 2019.
Read about status of the restructure as of March 2018, including the 12 job families and 6 levels of work in the new classification structure, and the next steps in developing the compensation structure. We expect to publish updates quarterly (January, April, July and October).
