Max Brown, Washington Recovery Group program manager

Formed in October of 2020, the Washington Resilience Group (originally called the Washington Recovery Group) plays a key role in setting priorities that strengthen the resiliency of our state and all Washingtonians as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know that successful collaboration throughout the state will create a more just and resilient Washington. Gov. Inslee is looking to state agencies to work together to plan and implement strategic actions that will support an equitable and just recovery, strong communities and a robust economy. This work will include efforts to examine how the state does business to increase the resilience of our communities, health systems and the state economy.

The initial work will focus on service delivery and the customer experience. During the pandemic, state systems were stretched to their limit and, in some cases, did not meet customer needs and expectations. The WRG will work collaboratively with state government staff and community partners to develop recommendations to improve service delivery and the customer experience. For more information, contact Max Brown, WRG program manager.
