| Description: |
The legislature appropriated general fund money per the above chapter, $ 80 million of which was deposited in this account, created in the appropriation bill. Per the legislature this money is to be spent without further appropriations and is to be used by the Department of Natural Resources to acquire, in fee simple, common school trust lands lying west of the crest of the Cascade mountain range. Timber on these lands shall be commercially unsuitable for harvest due to economic considerations, good forest practices, or other interests of the state. |
