Director's review process for IT Professional Structure review requests

What the employer needs to do when an employee files a request

Within 30 calendar days from the date the employee filed the request, email directorreview@ofm.wa.gov and employee:

  • Letter of notification
  • Position Description
  • Organizational chart
  • Tell us why you agree or disagree with the placement of this position
  • Optional: any supporting documentation

Number your exhibits in consecutive order and include a list as your cover page. Your submission needs to be emailed in an attached pdf file to accommodate our tracking system. Include the employee’s name and Director Review case number in the text of the email.

What the employee needs to do after filing the request

Within 60 calendar days of filing, email directorreview@ofm.wa.gov and employer’s HR representative who signed the notification letter:

  • A clear explanation of what you are appealing (job level, job family, exclusion)
  • Tell us why you disagree with the placement of your position
  • Optional: any supporting documentation

Number your exhibits in consecutive order and include a list as your cover page. Your submission needs to be emailed in an attached pdf file to accommodate our tracking system. Include your name and Director Review case number in the text of your email.

  • Subject line:  [the case number] Employee submission
  • Email to: DirectorReview@ofm.wa.gov
  • Be sure to cc your employer’s HR

NOTE: it is employee’s responsibility to inform and include union representative on all case correspondence
