Washington State DEI Empowerment Conference 2023

Bridging Gaps and Leaning into Action

The theme for the 2023 WA DEI Empowerment Conference "Bridging Gaps and Leaning into Action." The conference will take place each Wednesday in June 2023 (June 7, 14, 21 and 28) and will be held virtually over Zoom. We are committed to supporting statewide and agency-specific equity and anti-racism work, with the goal of building more just systems and fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging with our state workforce.

Currently inviting applications from presenters

We're seeking to highlight a diverse range of voices and perspectives at the conference, and are currently inviting submissions from presenters. This is open to anyone with skill, background, knowledge, or expertise relevant to diversity, equity, inclusion/belonging, and anti-racism. Speakers with lived expertise in their chosen topic are especially encouraged to submit proposals. Submit your proposal by March 12.

Become a presenter

You can learn more about the information you'll need to provide [PDF] or join us for one of our live online information sessions for potential presenters (Feb. 23, 28, and March 8).

Who is this conference for?

Admission is free and open to all employees from Washington state agencies, boards and commissions. While DEI practitioners and agency leadership will find the summit relevant to their work, all employees have the power to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in their workplaces.
