Business Resource Groups
BRGs are statewide, cross-agency employee-led networks dedicated to supporting and advocating for specific demographic groups. These groups model belonging, facilitate networking, and offer professional development opportunities while illuminating and addressing pertinent workplace issues affecting their members.

- Accessibility: The report must comply with PDF accessibility standards to ensure it is fully accessible via screen readers.
- Fiscal Year Alignment: The report should cover the fiscal year.
- Submission Deadline: The report must be submitted to the Office of Financial Management (OFM) via email to the BRG coordinator by August each year.
- Financial Report: Include a detailed financial report.
- Goal Assessment: Document the goals proposed at the beginning of the year and their level of completeness. The data shared may vary between BRGs based on their unique goals.
- Background Information: Provide background information about the BRG.
- Leadership: List the names of individuals in leadership positions.
- Policy Involvement: Describe the BRG’s involvement in the development of agencies’ policies, guidelines, or best practices.
- Events and Accomplishments: Highlight significant events and accomplishments from the year.
- Membership and Attendance: Report the number of active members and the average attendance at meetings.
- Future Goals: Outline the goals for the following year.

BRG participation policy
This policy is meant to provide guidance to state agencies on how to support and manage employee participation in statewide, OFM State HR sanctioned business resource groups.
Reason for Policy:
- To clarify expectations and align enterprise practices of all executive branch agencies related to employee participation in statewide business resource groups. All other agencies, the legislative and judicial branches, high education institutions, boards, commissions and offices are encouraged to follow the provisions of this policy.
- To ensure state employees have fair and reasonable access to belong to, participate and support the important activities, contributions and work that the business resource groups contribute to our State.
