Fiscal Note System (FNS)
The Legislature, agencies and OFM use the Fiscal Note System (FNS) to request, prepare, transmit, approve, distribute and monitor the status of fiscal notes. A fiscal note is an estimate of the financial impact of a legislative bill.
Agencies can prepare fiscal note content outside the FNS and then copy and paste the content into the system. The FNS must be used to transmit completed notes to OFM.
