Workday® is a cloud-based system for finance, procurement, budget, HR, and payroll. We are implementing Workday for all agencies in phases, starting with finance. Workday will integrate with agency systems to provide rich financial reporting capabilities.

Current focus: core financials
Workday will first replace the state’s core accounting system, the Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS) (Phase 1A). Once live, Workday will be the financial system of record for all Washington state agencies.
The Workday Services team provides support to Washington state agencies including customer support, Workday configuration and maintenance, and managing security roles.

Workday Support Team
- One Washington – Currently, developing the Workday application for the state of Washington. After go-live, may proceed to add more modules for the application. First phase is the financials. Future phases include HR and procurement.
- Workday Services – The Workday Services team is responsible for supporting all live Workday modules and the Washington state employees who use them. Workday Services is part of the Information Technology Services (ITSD) division at OFM. The team will lead planning, governance, operations, and activities for Workday with partners across the state, from the time of launch and into the future. The Workday Services team will provide security access, configuration, and testing along with working closely with One Washington and its partners to build a strong foundation for Workday success. Most of the team currently works on One Washington and will transition at go-live.
- Statewide Accounting – OFM Statewide Accounting provides payroll and accounting guidance, training, and support to state agencies. Additionally, Statewide Accounting is responsible statewide financial reporting and maintenance of the Washington State Administrative and Accounting Policies (WAAM).
- Statewide Budget – OFM enterprise-serving team that support budget activities. The budget advisors will be supporting program hierarchies 1-4, program structure, appropriations, expenditures and allotments.
- Statewide Human Resources (HR) – OFM Statewide HR is leading agency readiness efforts for the future implementation of human capital management known as Phase 2 HCM.
