Facility Optimization Directive
In light of the state’s current fiscal environment, OFM is directing agencies to take immediate action in two areas of facilities management that can produce both near-term and ongoing savings:
- Reduce all non-essential facility spending.
- Reduce office lease obligations.
OFM and DES will provide guidance and support to help agencies carry out this directive. Initial implementation guidance and frequently asked questions are available on the DES Facility Optimization web page. This page will be updated as additional guidance is developed.
