Retirement Payout Costs
Funding is provided to offset sick leave and accrued vacation leave buyout expenses incurred when one employee retires on July 1, 2018. Agencies typically fund retirement buyouts from staff vacancy savings. The Workforce Training Board is a small agency that does not have sufficient vacancy savings to cover this retirement buyout.
Agency Savings in FY 2021
Agency savings were achieved by implementing the governor's directive to furlough staff. (General Fund - Federal, General Fund - State)
General Wage Increase Savings
Agency savings were achieved by implementing the governor's directive to withhold the general wage increase scheduled for July 1, 2020. (General Fund - Private/Local, Tuition Recovery Trust Account - Non-Appropriated, General Fund - Local, other funds)
