Fire Suppression
The Department of Natural Resources has responded to more than 500 wildfires representing over 266,000 acres so far in fiscal year 2021. One-time funding is provided for fire response costs incurred and anticipated during fiscal year 2021 which exceed the department’s existing fire suppression appropriation.
