DOC/DSHS McNeil Island-Infrastructure: Repairs & Upgrades

The boat lift enables staff to load passengers in a stable environment and then lower the boat to the water for transportation to the mainland however, the existing boat lift is no longer operational. Funding will enable the replacement of the inoperable outboard speed boat lift at the Main Dock as well as storing the boat out of the corrosive salt water which will extend its service life and improve reliability for emergency responses. In addition, funding is provided to upgrade power poles, mechanical connectors, and overhead high voltage lines. This improves the reliability of the electrical distribution system which will improve SCC operations and decrease the costs associated with emergency repairs to the electrical distribution system.
