Klickitat WLA - Simcoe Fencing

This project will construct 7 miles of fencing as part of the acquisitions of the Simcoe Units of the Klickitat Wildlife Area to ensure appropriate boundary fencing. The project will benefit habitat, recreation, and neighboring relations with the Yakama Nation and other private landowners. It will prevent negative habitat impacts by keeping livestock off Yakama Nation lands and wild horses off state lands. In addition, the fence will provide critical information for the public, identifying what land they are on and where the public land boundaries are.
