Washington State DEI Empowerment Conference 2025

Welcome to the 2025 DEI Empowerment Conference! This year's event, with the theme "Embedding Access and Inclusion in Everything," will be held virtually over Zoom on June 4, 5, 11, and 12. Register today!

About the conference

The conference is designed by and for Washington state government employees. We welcome our colleagues from Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branches of our state government. We also welcome our friends employed by our state's various county, city, and other municipal level agencies, boards, and commissions.

Accessibility

ASL and CART services are planned for all sessions. We also ask presenters to apply ADA and WCAG guidelines to all materials. You will be prompted to enter any additional accessibility needs in your registration.

How to participate

Step 1 - Register

Click here to access the Conference's event page (powered by Zoom).

Important: Only email addresses with verified government domains will be allowed to register and attend.

  1. Select the button to register with your (a) work email or (b) work Zoom account.
    1. Enter your information as prompted and select "Continue." Keep this page open.
  2. Check your inbox for a confirmation code from Zoom (this step may not apply if using an active work Zoom account).
    1. If the confirmation code doesn't appear, check your inbox's "Other" tab and "Junk Email" folder. You may also use the "resend" link on the Zoom page to retry.
  3. Enter your confirmation code on the Zoom page and select the button to continue.
  4. Enter your registration details and accessibility needs in the fields provided. Select "Confirm registration."

If you have trouble accessing the Conference's Zoom event page or your registration has been rejected in error, please contact WaStateEmployeeDEIConference@ofm.wa.gov.

Step 2 - Bookmark sessions & add to calendar

  1. Once you've registered, enter the conference's "Virtual Lobby" via the button on your confirmation page or email.
  2. Select the "Sessions" tab.
    1. A yellow bookmark indicates the sessions you plan to attend (example below). All sessions are marked by default.
    2. Deselect the bookmark for the sessions you are intending to skip.
  3. Select the "Itinerary" tab, which reflects the sessions you've bookmarked. To add your sessions to your calendar:
    1. Select the Export Itinerary as ICS file button to download your itinerary as a calendar invite.
    2. Go to your downloaded files, open the invite. 
    3. Select Import to add your itinerary to your Outlook calendar.

We encourage you to explore all the tabs in the lobby. They allow you to navigate through more information about the conference.

You can revisit the event Lobby to see new content added and to adjust your session bookmarks at any time. Just click the registrain link and follow the instructions to "Join the Lobby".

Step 3 - Join us live on Zoom in June!

Get ready for a great conference! Use the links provided in the calendar invites to join your selected sessions, or access the Virtual Lobby using the link in your registration confirmation email from Zoom.
