Funding was provided in the 2019-21 biennium to design a facility for the Living Independently for Today and Tomorrow residential training program at the Washington State School for the Blind campus. The specialized LIFTT program teaches young adults who are blind and visually impaired the skills needed to live independently and succeed in higher education and employment. This project will fund the construction of a purpose-built facility to house residents in the LIFTT program and provide office space for the Department of Services for the Blind outreach services.
