Funding was provided in the 2019-21 biennium to prepare the Washington School for the Deaf campus for a new academic and physical education building. Current facilities are outmoded for current educational needs and teaching styles for deaf and hard of hearing students. This project will fund the design and construction of a new, modern facility to meet the specialized needs of students and teachers at the school. Reappropriation of unspent prior biennia funding is also included.
