Washington State University Pullman - STEM Teaching Labs

Funding is provided to update laboratory space for high-demand STEM degrees and increase programmatic options in Eastlick Hall where teaching labs have not been upgraded significantly in the past 40 years. The project will enable improvements for departmental learning spaces, extend the useful life of one of the core science facilities on the Pullman campus and enable WSU to meet student demand for STEM courses.

Johnson Hall Replacement

Washington State University has received a federal grant to construct a new Plant Biosciences Building on the Pullman campus. The new building will replace Johnson Hall and be shared with the USDA Agricultural Research Services to jointly conduct plant science research with WSU students and researchers. State funding will be used for the demolition of Johnson Hall.

Campus Fire Protection and Domestic Water Reservoir

Funding is provided to design and construct a new 2 million gallon water reservoir for fire protection and domestic water service for the WSU Pullman campus. Clark Hall Research Lab Renovation

Funding is provided to renovate and modernize labratories to support undergraduate instruction, research in agricultural chemicals and food and animal sciences in Clark Hall. This renovation project will allow for many programs in the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences to relocate to these improved labs from other inadequate lab facilities on campus.

Pullman Sciences Building

Funding is provided for a predesign to study whether to renovate or replace Heald Hall, a 58-year-old building with original systems that has never experienced a major remodel. Heald Hall is proposed to be replaced with a new Sciences Building that will be sited in the core of the Pullman campus adjacent to many of the existing facilities housing STEM academic and research programs. A new Sciences Building will strengthen student/faculty recruitment and retention by providing modern, safe, technologically advanced space for a wide range of life and physical science programs.
