2022 general election ballot fiscal information
Advisory votes
As required by RCW 43.135.041, two bills approved by the 2022 Legislature appear on the general election ballot as Advisory Votes to the People. OFM prepared and distributed a 10-year projection of the tax impacts of each of these bills, as required by RCW 43.135.031.
Bill number | 10-year cost projection | |
---|---|---|
2076 | Engrossed Substitute House Bill 2076 [PDF] | Fiscal note for ESHB 2076 [PDF] |
5974 | Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5974 [PDF] | Fiscal note for ESSB 5974 [PDF] |
The difference between 10-year cost projections and fiscal notes
- A 10-year cost projection provides the cost estimate of a bill over a 10-year period. Cost estimates for each year are reported separately and include only tax or fee increases.
- A fiscal note provides the cost estimate of a bill over six years, grouped in two-year periods. A fiscal note includes other information about the bill not included in the 10-year cost projection. Fiscal note cost estimates may differ from the 10-year projection; where any difference exists, the 10-year projection represents the most up-to-date information.
