The 2019-21 enacted biennial budget appropriated $6.6 million to the Washington Military Department to acquire land for a new readiness center in the King County area. The new readiness center will enhance operational functionality and support the future transition of National Guard operations from the Seattle Armory in downtown Seattle. This additional funding provides for a predesign of a new National Guard readiness center and field maintenance shop.
