Naselle Youth Camp-Eagle Lodge: Medical, Dental & Social Services

30002758

In 2018 and 2019, the Legislature passed new laws that extend the maximum age of confinement to 25 years of age for individuals convicted in adult court of a crime that was committed while under the age of 18. This will result in a population increase of incarcerated youth for the Department of Children, Youth, and Families, which has insufficient space in current health services buildings. This funding provides for a predesign for the medical, dental, and social services programs at Naselle Youth Camp. It also supports the provision of constitutionally-required medical care for youth in custody.
