The purpose of the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is to safeguard life, health, and property and to promote the public welfare in the fields of professional engineering, land surveying, and on-site wastewater treatment system design. These goals are accomplished by adopting rules, developing testing and education standards, licensing qualified individuals, outreach and education through robust communications to the public, registrants, educational institutions, other agencies and taking disciplinary action against those not in compliance with established rules and practices.
Agency Mission
The mission of the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is to ensure competency in the practice of licensed engineering, land surveying, and on-site wastewater treatment system design in order to protect the public from injury and damage to property.
