Statewide Business Resource Groups

Statewide business resource groups (BRGs) bring together groups of employees and their allies who have a common interest or characteristic. All BRGs have a charter, mission, goals and bylaws and contribute to an overall statewide business strategy.  BRG members bring their unique knowledge and perspectives, making them an asset to state business needs, such as recruitment and retention.

State Government Veterans Initiatives

In May 2019, Governor Inslee signed Executive Order 19-01 on employment opportunities for every veteran, transitioning service member, Reserve and National Guard member and military spouse within Washington State.  OFM State HR (SHR) is charged with setting standards for agency plans and developing agency resources.  SHR is piloting several enterprise strategies in which agencies may participate, including but not limited to:
