Get involved in the 2020 Census

To make the 2020 Census a success, the U.S. Census Bureau has three top-level needs from individual states:

  1. Addresses: A complete, accurate list of places where people live
  2. Help recruit census employees: The Bureau will hire almost 400,000 people across the country to staff 248 area census offices, to partner with the communities, and to conduct field work
  3. Community mobilizers and motivators: In the digital age of multiple information sources, lots of information, and distrust of information sources, trusted community leaders need to engage, encourage, and ensure self-response and participation
