Typical Work
Cleans various buildings, offices, rooms, institutional and non-institutional facilities;
Cleans and sanitizes showers, restrooms, toilet facilities; keeps them properly supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other items;
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors, walls and woodwork; dusts furniture and equipment; empties and cleans ash trays and wastebaskets; polishes furniture and metal fixtures; washes windows; vacuums rugs, curtains and furniture;
Performs minor maintenance and repair work, such as unskilled painting, cleaning furnace flues, oiling furnace motors, sharpening tools and replacing faucet washers or toilet tank floats;
Empties wastebaskets, trash, and recycle containers;
Sets up and takes down equipment and furnishings;
Maintains inventory of equipment and products.Legal Requirement(s)
