CUSTODIAN 2 - TEAMSTERS
Repairs or replaces doors, hardware, windows, locks, gutters, benches, tables, desks, chairs, cabinets, etc.;
Repairs and maintains electric powered janitorial tools and electric or gas powered lawn equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, floor scrubbers, hand mowers, riding lawn mowers, and edging tools;
Repairs or replaces fixtures, furnishings, and any other miscellaneous objects;
Paints small offices, latrines, kitchens, classrooms;
Makes rounds, locking doors, closing windows, turning off lights and replacing burned out light bulbs; turns air conditioning and other equipment on and off;
Moves furniture and equipment; arranges tables and chairs for special events; collects and disposes of garbage and trash; shovels snow and sweeps and washes sidewalks on an emergency basis; does occasional yard and garden chores such as mowing, weeding or raking leaves and debris;
Improves work methods, knowledge of equipment, supplies and safety through participation in training sessions with supervisors;
Maintains inventories and makes simple reports; requisitions supplies and equipment;
May supervise lower level staff.
The ability to do required work and the ability to read and write
Six months to one year experience in custodial, general or building maintenance, grounds keeping, or semi-skilled carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing repair work.Note: A valid Washington state driver's license may be required.

Base range salary adjustment adopted 6/30/2017, effective 7/1/2017; 28 to 29.
