Here are some key highlights from this month's report:
- Robust revenue collections: February 11 to March 10, 2025, saw GF-S revenue collections surpass forecasts by $73.0 million, up 3.8%, highlighting strong economic activity.
- Steady decline in inflation: Year-over-year inflation in Seattle reduced to 2.5% by February 2025, signaling economic stability.
- Consistent employment growth: Despite sector-specific fluctuations, Washington's non-farm employment grew by 1.7% year-over-year as of January 2025.
- Expanding housing market: The housing sector showed robust growth with 40,200 construction permits issued in January 2025, outpacing forecasts.
- Decline in vehicle registrations: A temporary closure at the Department of Licensing led to a sharp 17.9% drop in vehicle registrations in February.
