2025-27 Classroom Indoor Air Quality Projects

2025-27 Small District and STEC Schools Modernization Program

The Small District and State Tribal Compact Schools Modernization Program was created to provide competitive grants to small school districts with 1,000 students or less and tribal compact schools with significant building systems deficiencies and insufficient resources to address needs. Funds completion of all construction projects that received planning grants in the previous biennia, and planning grants that will provide information necessary to create the project list for the 2027-29 biennial capital budget.

New Market Skills Center - Exterior Preservation Project

Funding is provided to the Tumwater School District for preservation of three original 1985 buildings and site elements at the New Market Skills Center. This project will replace the building envelope (roofing, exterior wall finishes, windows, and doors) which is almost 40 years old and beyond its useful life, extending the life of the buildings and preventing structural decay and building failure.

Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center Marine Tech Preservation Project

School Seismic Safety Grant Program

Supports the School Seismic Safety program by providing grants to school districts and state tribal education compact schools. Funds planning, design, and construction to mitigate risks and protect students and staff located in high seismic areas or tsunami zones. Grants will pay for at least two-thirds of the total project costs and all projects must be eligible for School Construction Assistance Program funding.
