Projects include work to extend the useful life of college facilities, such as roof renovations, energy efficiency upgrades, infrastructure upgrades, steam and condensate system renovations, and upgrades to the campus telephone system and underground storage tanks. These projects are required to protect state assets, reduce the deferred maintenance backlog and prevent further damage to property and extend the life of facilities.

Preventive Facility Maintenance and Building System Repairs

Evans Hall Decarbonization

The Evans Hall decarbonization predesign and design will investigate severing it from the central utility steam plant. In its place, heat pumps and electric boilers with sufficient capacity to meet the heating, cooling, and domestic hot water needs will be evaluated.

Dormitories Decarbonization

Labs 1 & 2 Third Floor Renovation

Funding is provided to conduct a predesign study for Labs 1 and 2. Once completed, this project will conclude the phased lab renovations. The third-floor office area is last to receive an improvement from the original construction in 1976. The Laboratory Wing renovation will provide modular class and research facilities that meet the college’s academic needs.
