2025-27 Creative Districts Capital Construction Projects

30000018

Creative districts encourage economic development, tourism, and job creation in the arts and culture sector—the creative economy—within communities. They are a focal point, providing residents and visitors with needed interaction with the creative economy, arts and culture businesses and activities, and other amenities. The districts define and provide a distinctive sense of place, are a robust source of income, and are points of pride for communities. This continues funding of a capital project grant program that was designed to benefit creative districts, funding small-scale creative placemaking projects to enhance their built environment.
