Monthly FDM Update Submissions Begin August 1
Sharing news from One WA.
What’s Changing
Starting Friday, August 1, agencies are invited to submit Foundation Data Model (FDM) updates by the first of each month. The monthly cadence is expected to continue through December 2025 and will help prepare for FY26 Chart of Accounts changes and new federal grant awards ahead of the next tenant build.
Why This Change
This monthly cadence supports our shift to a post-go-live FDM maintenance model. OneWA is partnering with OFM’s Workday Services and Statewide Accounting (SWA) teams to build a long-term plan for maintaining the FDM. In the meantime, we will be maintaining a monthly update cycle until final resolution.
What We Need from You
With the start of a new fiscal year and biennium, we ask AST leads and functional team members to review your AFRS chart of accounts and update FDM values and crosswalk mappings to reflect any recent changes.
How to Submit Updates
- Refer to the Instructions tab within the Conversion Lookup and Crosswalk, available on the AST Finance Resources SharePoint.
- Submit completed updates to: onewafinance@ofm.wa.gov.
How to Ask Questions
- Direct questions to the OneWA Finance Team at the email above.
- Always include your OneWA agency consultant on the message so they can track it in Quest, the system of record for agency questions.
Timeline
- Updates received by the 1st of the month will be reflected in the Conversion Lookup and Crosswalk, Enterprise Integration Crosswalk (EIC), and applicable Workday tenants by the end of the same month.
- Updates received after the 1st will be included in the following month’s cycle.
What to Expect
- Monthly updates to the FDM, Conversion Lookup and Crosswalk, Enterprise Integration Crosswalk (EIC), and applicable Workday tenants:
- OneWA2 – LSR and Functional Report Testing tenant
- OneWA8 – AWE tenant
- Timely processing based on monthly submissions.
- Continued communications to share updates as we learn more about timelines and the next tenant build.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we prepare for Workday implementation.
