Sub-subobjects added to match FDM Spend Category In the Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM), the Spend Category (SC) worktag is analogous to the AFRS sub-subobject codes. Most have a one-to-one relationship. However, the One Washington team has added more detailed SC codes to support reporting at a more granular level. Many, but not all, are in object J – Capital Outlays. Some agencies would like to use the more detailed coding in BI27 so that (a) the transition from AFRS to Workday will be easier, and (b) reporting over the biennium will be more uniform even though expenditures will be in both AFRS and Workday. |

WAAM Chapter 160 – Accounts Receivable is now available We are excited to announce the draft version of Chapter 160 – Accounts Receivable is available for review in WAAM (Washington Administrative and Accounting Manual, which will replace SAAM when the state moves to Workday). Many of the state’s policies regarding accounts receivable remain unchanged, and therefore WAAM Chapter 160 – Accounts Receivable includes several sections previously included in SAAM such as agencies’ responsibilities, required documentation, and the collection process. These sections of WAAM apply to ALL state agencies. |

Workday Statewide Supplier Registration Process OFM has released WAAM Chapter 90 – Statewide Customers and Suppliers which provides more details about the process to register Statewide Customers and Suppliers. Suppliers are required in Workday to process payments using a Supplier Invoice. Like statewide vendors today, Suppliers are set up and governed by the Office of Financial Management Statewide Registration Desk. |
