Competency-based hiring plans
By March 1, 2025, each agency will submit an initial hiring plan outlining the steps they will take to transition towards competency-based hiring. Please answer the following questions in your plan:
1. What actions has your agency started taking?
This will allow us to share promising practices across the enterprise. Components to consider:
- Identifying and evaluating competencies/skills
- Preparing hiring managers/panels
- Scope: all positions descriptions or just as positions come open
2. What additional resources/support do you need to implement this EO?
- We will figure out what we can provide within the current resource constraints we are all experiencing.
